“Lying
lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who act faithfully are his
delight.” Proverbs 12:22
Most people are taught from a very early age that lying is wrong. As children, it can be fairly simple to
follow this rule. However, as
young adults it can become more tempting to tell a “little white lie” every now
and then. Teenagers especially are
faced with the opportunity to be less than truthful when telling their parents
where they are going or who they will be seeing. Determine in your heart that you will avoid this temptation
and stay faithful to God. Don’t
even consider lying as an option.
Be truthful and face the consequences with integrity. Honesty truly is the best policy!
